Welcome to NSL RIP! NationalSigLeague.com is the first ever graphic's site to have it's own unique game.

In NSL RIP, two teams are formed for each game. One smaller team are "Rippers", another larger team are "Artists". Each team seeks to oust the other team to win the game. If you are a ripper, you must deploy your deceiving skills to make artists believe you are on their side or if you are an artist, you are hunting rippers to oust them before they rip you!

Each game consist of 4 rounds, each unique but repeated on an interval until there is only one of one of the two teams remaining. Players start out in the "Voting" round where you are free to drag the vote markers to the top for the person seeming the most suspicious. At the end of this round, the top 2 vote getters are tallied up for the "Oust" round.

Ousting essentially removes the player from the game so be sure you aren't ousting one of your own! Once on the oust screen, you click the icon of the player you wish to oust.

Beyond this, game play changes depending on your breed. If you are a ripper, you are directed to the "Rip Room" where you get to choose an artist you would like to Rip. Ripping almost removes them permanently from the game. You may want to remove the one that suspects you the most! Rippers can have partners. Be quick to discuss who you are going to rip as the artists will be browsing the gallery waiting to stumble across clues.

As previously mentioned, artists are sent to a gallery screen where they see signatures from NSL's previous tournament winners. If the rippers are not quick to choose a victim, some artists are randomly given clues that can help them figure out who's abusing their clone tool!

NSL Rip features the latest technology that renders the entire game in HTML and not flash and pushes browsers to their limits. The game comes alive with 18 unique characters created by Mr Mainard himself. Featuring a live lobby that shows all the active players and their locations as well as current games. Additional game play elements include a live chat box both in game and in the lobby to do your lying and a "Whisper" feature that allows you to send private chat messages to players in your game. NSL RIP is definitely fun, addicting, and something everyone will certainly enjoy spending hours on. We hope to see you in game!

Happy Ripping!
Hi all,

There's a lot I could say about this project, after all I did spend 2 year's working on it. Many are probably wondering why this thing was created for a signature site. NSL RIP was created because many of us got addicted to a different flavor of the game a few years ago (it has since been closed down) but it had it's share of bugs and annoyances so I sough out to make my own spin on it and bring some fun to NSL. I think NSL needs some fun. Everyone get's so caught up in their ranks and thing's and tends to miss the point of the site (fun) so what better way to bring it home than a game?

I've been working on NSL RIP since June of 2007. From designing the layout to logo to the thousands of lines of code that went into it, it was definitely a great challenge. The design and code still aren't perfect and there are several instances where things could be redone better but after 2 years of work, it's time to just stop and sit back and look at the progress that has been made with the users. There are still some kinks to be worked out and things to add, but in the future.

NSL RIP uses the latest methods available while utilizing some old and newish technology. I don't know flash so when I set out to do this, it was a great road block to animate plain HTML elements and things but as you can see, I managed. Many sites now are making use of small simple JS animations but I do believe that NSL RIP is one of the first to make extensive use of them. I knew very little JS and very little about coding outside of a sanitized vBulletin environment when I started on this project so I definitely taught myself a ton along the way.

Along the way, this project has taught me a lot, it has made me hate and love coding on alternating times, and even has turned a Internet Explorer (cringe) fan boy (moi) into an avid Firefox user.

I hope everyone enjoys the hard work I put into this and thanks to all the people in the Credits section as none of this would have been possible without them.
